OWL Maschinenbau – compressed air as the air of the future for OstWestfalenLippe
As a co-founder of the industry network OWL Maschinenbau e.V. (OWL Registered Association for Mechanical Engineering), we seek to ensure that the OstWestfalenLippe region – the home of the company in Germany - maintains its status as a leading European region of mechanical engineering for many years to come.
One of the network’s most important tasks is to stimulate the transfer of knowledge between universities, research institutes and businesses. This serves as the basis for technological developments in mechanical engineering and the training of specialist personnel. We assume an important role both in driving this transfer of knowledge and in the goal-oriented implementation of concepts and ideas, all undertaken with the aim of encouraging efficient, path-breaking regional cooperation. One aspect of our work is the annual technology and innovation forum “Solutions”. Here, companies, directors and specialist and management personnel join practical workshops to discuss new product developments, logistics, marketing, services, strategic management and personnel-related topics. Such discussions form an important contribution to the ongoing development of specialist competence and the preservation of jobs in the region.
As a member of the Verband Deutscher Maschinen und Anlagenbauer (German Engineering Association), we help to shape the engineering sector in Germany, with a particular focus on issues and topics pertaining to the compressed air sector.
